YA book from the 1970s about girls learning to become witches. I remember one scene where the test was that they couldn’t walk on the floor, so they were all walking on the furniture. Thanks!

It was a mixed group of boys and girls who were siblings, but I remember that the kids’ older stepsister set various “ordeals” for them to go through as a kind of initiation, and one of them was that they had to avoid walking on the wood floors of the house. The kids kept jumping from rug to rug and climbing over furniture, and at one point, the adults caught one of them on top of the piano. The other ordeals were things like not touching metal or not talking for an entire day.
There are a couple of books like thiis,with ridiculously long 1970’s titles, but the one about walking on the furniture is The Headless Cupid by Zilpha Keatley Snyder.

If it’s not either of those, a third possibility could be Jennifer, Hecate, Macbeth, William McKinley, and Me, Elizabeth by E. L. Konigsburg. I haven’t read that one all the way through yet, so I’m not sure if it also had a scene in it where they couldn’t walk on the floor, but it does have a couple of girls who are trying to be witches, and they had various tests or rituals they had to do.
There’s also a book called The Witches of Hopper Street where some girls become “witches” to get revenge on another girl, who didn’t invite them to her Halloween party. I vaguely remember reading this book years ago, but I can’t remember exactly how it went, and it might be from the 1980s, not the ’70s.
