348W: Who Kidnapped Toddler? (Solved!)

British psychological thriller, probably 2019. Small child disappears from yard while young mother carelessly supervises her playtime.  Meanwhile, a married woman is in  a relationship which begins to reveal itself as rather strange and secretive. Her evasive husband becomes a suspect when coworker points finger in his direction, but his alibi is that his delivery route is far from the kidnapping site. Clues and suspicions build until his wife can no longer avoid suspecting his cagey behavior and question his guilt.

the auto accident doestnt deem to fit; is that the one where everyone’s story was told leading up to the accident whch was caused be a bee?
My question revolved around the young mother of the missing little girl and around the wife of the salesman who was very secretive with locked room, controlling behaviors…The wife slowly began to question his behaviors …he was ultimately found to be the kidnapper/killer of the child…

      thank you.
The mother of the little child who was kidnapped was very young and immatures; the wife of the man who became a suspect was very naïve, her parents visited her every day, her husband was secretive and controlling, he locked his room and would not talk about anything but TV programs they shared. She was the one who discovered the child’s body where he buried alongside the roadway.
I don’t think it is the Ballentine

It’s called “The Widow,” and it’s by Fiona Barton! Read her other two – “The Child” and “The Suspect.” 🙂
