There is a book from my childhood, which had a title like, \u201cThe Happy Hobo\u201d or \u201cThe Happy Baker\u201d.\u00a0 In it, a down-at-the-heels tramp arrives in a small village.\u00a0 He first visits the keepers of the General Store and asks for help, food or money.\u00a0 They rebuke him and send him running.\u00a0 Then he visits a small bakery.\u00a0 The baker offers him a few crusty rolls and some warm beverage.\u00a0 The tramp is magical and offers the blessing that whatever the baker would do, would be successful and happy all day.\u00a0 The baker gets to work baking and soon the whole town was lined up for his baked goods.<\/p>\n
Across the street, the General Store keepers look on enviously.\u00a0 They lure the tramp over and offer him money or food.\u00a0 Then they set about clearing room in there store for all of the money they would rake in from the magical tramp.\u00a0 They spend the whole day cleaning their store (no additional money appears to come in).\u00a0 Do you know this book\u2019s title and author?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
