Lestrade had a grudging respect for Holmes, but only tolerated Dr. Watson, Holmes&#8217; colleague\/associate\/compatriot. I think Dr. Watson mentioned trying to employ Holmes&#8217; methods, but I don&#8217;t know how successful he was. But then I think Lestrade came to visit Dr. Watson about a case.<\/p>\n<p>The author wasn&#8217;t Doyle. The book might have been an ebook, a regular book or a story that was independently published. It wasn&#8217;t fanfiction.It wasn&#8217;t by M J Trow. It also wasn&#8217;t <em>Sojourn<\/em> by J L Hazen, the <em>Trials of Sherlock Holmes<\/em> by James Moffett, the <em>Smiling Judge<\/em> by Mary Fantina, the <em>Confidential Casebook<\/em> of Sherlock Holmes by Marvin Kaye, <em>Holmes Away from Home<\/em> (<strong>Vols I-II<\/strong>) by David Marcum and Mark Mower or the <em>MX Book of New Sherlock Holmes Stories Pt II<\/em> by David Marcum and Mark Mower, although the plots are close!<\/p>\n<p>If anyone could help me find this book, I would greatly appreciate it! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I am looking for a book, possibly found on Google Advanced Book Search or Amazon, where Lestrade and Dr. Watson had drifted apart since Holmes&#8217; death, I think at Reichenbach.
