The book I\u2019m looking for was purchased in the mid-70\u2019s.\u00a0 I don\u2019t remember the dust jacket but it had a purply red cloth cover and was about 7\u201d by 9\u201d opening on the short side with a few line drawing illustrations.\u00a0 It is a collection of modern poems for kids (not nursery rhymes).\u00a0 One poem in particular was my son\u2019s favorite. It starts \u2013 <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cOnce a little boy lived with a bear. <\/span><\/p>\n

Went to sleep against deep brown hair<\/span><\/p>\n

Soft and warm in a hidden lair.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>We don\u2019t remember the middle part but it ends <\/span><\/p>\n

\u00a0<\/span>\u201cThough he at last returned to men<\/span><\/p>\n

And never walked with the bears again, <\/span><\/p>\n

All his life long he dreamed of the den.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
