My recollection of the plot is sketchy, but I do remember the basic concept.<br class=\"\" \/><br class=\"\" \/><\/p>\n<ul class=\"\">\n<li class=\"\">Probably read it in the 80s.\u00a0Maybe early 90s<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Female author.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Likely bought the book because I recognized author&#8217;s name, so probably not a rookie.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">She was a story teller who used humor sometimes.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">The basic theme was about a woman (age uncertain) who felt as though she was disappearing, bit by bit.\u00a0Disappearing as in not being noticed\/relevant\/whatever.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">My fuzzy recollection is that others couldn\u2019t see that this was happening to her.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">Vague recollection of book cover art: a woman was portrayed mostly as a real person. But some of her picture was composed of dotted lines indicating graphically that part of her had disappeared\/was disappearing.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">I&#8217;ve Googled my brains out. Lists of female authors writing in the 1970-1990 era. Also lists of best sellers. Maybe my book was a flop.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">I&#8217;ve consulted librarians.<\/li>\n<li class=\"\">I\u2019ve posted this weird quest on Facebook, since I have many friends there who are voracious readers.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><br class=\"\" \/>How vague is that?!<\/div>\n<div class=\"\"><\/div>\n<div class=\"\">Can you help me find this?<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I have been searching several years for a book whose title and author I cannot remember.
