{"id":7151,"date":"2020-02-19T14:55:53","date_gmt":"2020-02-19T19:55:53","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/w1.loganberrybooks.com\/stumpthebookseller\/?p=7151"},"modified":"2020-02-25T12:56:12","modified_gmt":"2020-02-25T17:56:12","slug":"336e-creepy-girl-holding-up-egg","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/w1.loganberrybooks.com\/stumpthebookseller\/336e-creepy-girl-holding-up-egg\/","title":{"rendered":"336E: Creepy Girl Holding Up Egg (Solved!)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<div>I read a book as a school aged kid in the 70&#8217;s and I think it was probably published in the 70&#8217;s.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The most memorable thing about it was the illustrations.\u00a0 I found them so creepy, I could barely look at them.\u00a0 Kind of like the illustration of Alice in Wonderland when her neck gets stretched by Tenniel.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The picture I remember most clearly was one that was a black and white drawing and the\u00a0girl is holding a single egg in the kitchen.\u00a0 The perspective is as if she&#8217;s holding the egg up to a camera on the ceiling.\u00a0 She has large eyes and looks creepy.\u00a0 Imagine Wednesday from the Addams Family holding the egg.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>The plot was about a strange girl who moved next door to the main character &#8211; a girl of the same age I think.\u00a0 Probably about my age at the time, 10 or 11.\u00a0 I think the new girl holding the egg had some kind of magical powers.\u00a0 I don&#8217;t remember liking the girl, so she wasn&#8217;t like a fun Pippi Longstocking character.\u00a0 I think the\u00a0setting was in the country.\u00a0 Definitely not in the city.\u00a0 The kitchen seems like a farm kitchen in a farm house.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I don&#8217;t think this was popular book at all.\u00a0 I think I tried to make my friends read it to see if they found it as creepy as I did, and they declined.<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>I&#8217;m afraid that&#8217;s all I&#8217;ve got.\u00a0 Thanks in advance!<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I read a book as a school aged kid in the 70&#8217;s and I think it was probably published in the 70&#8217;s.
