Mother's Druthers
Mother
is my chief book scout, and here she features brand new inventory that
hasn't made it to the shop yet. So check here for the newest selections
of great stuff that has caught the knowledgeable and discerning eye of
Muz, my principal book buyer.

Lydia's Temptation
Lydia's
namesake is from Katherine Paterson's Lyddie about a young woman
from Vermont working in the cotton mills of colonial days. Lydia's
book interests retain these threads of American history, travel, and women's
work. She also tends to like good food.

Hedda's Passion
Hedda
is a bit of a literary snob (it must be the name), and her favorite books
generally reflect this. So if you're a snob yourself, or a theatre
aesthete, you may find a comrad in Hedda. If you're not, then you
might find some interesting new ideas or at least something different worthy
of checking out.

Nikita's Distraction
All
cat and no tail make Nikita an interesting and particularly fussy children's
book connoisseur. Nothing snobbish about these choices, mind you,
except that they hold the attention of even Nikita... therefore they'll
probably be a hit with your kids...

Baby K's Choice
A
sociable guy like Baby K tends towards colorful books worthy of a coffee
table conversation. Then again, with a name like Kandinsky, his artistic
flair is hard to suppress. Even if it might tend towards the abstract.

The Guest Page
Well,
my friends can't complain that they don't have their own specials page
if there is a place for them to post their sporadic favorites, and I can't
complain that they don't update it on a regular basis if it has a revolving
sponsorship. So, wanna tell me your favorite or an interesting sleeper
not to overlook? I'll post it here.
