Hello! The book I am thinking of could *possibly* be a school book, it was hard cover, and grey-blue in color. It had “Many Moons”, by James Thurber, the last story was by, I believe, Laura Ingalls Wilder, and there was a story about a toy maker making wooden animals for a farm set. The lights went out and he painted all the animals the ‘wrong’ colors and was very upset until someone told him they were even better that way.
I would love to find this collection of stories again!
The only anthology I find in WorldCat with both “Many Moons” and a Wilder story is this large anthology (the Wilder is not one of the last stories, however):

Hello! Thank you! I’ve seen that one and I would think it’s it except I can’t find the story about the toymaker! Which is making me think I am getting multiple books confused into one. I will check out other editions of this Treasury then……thank you!
I know the story about the toy maker. It’s called “The Talk of the Town” and it appeared in a grade school reader titled More Fun With Our Friends. It was published in 1962 by Scott, Foresman and Company. Hope this helps!
FANTASTIC!! Thank you so much!!!
