157F: Kid Paints Town

Story starts out in a black and white town.  Little girl finds a paint set and begins to color the town and the people, paints the grass green and even paints the baby’s face a rosy color.  Possibly published in early 1990’s.  My daughter read it in elementary school about 1993-1998

This could be “Cassie’s Magic Flowers The Story of Calico Crossings” by Nan Roloff and published by Current in 1984. It is large and thin- 9 1/2″ x 12″ and 43 pages in length. The cover is white with a colored illustration of a Cabbage Patch-esque little girl surrounded by calico and polka dot flowers. Cassie and her baby brother Corky live in a black and white town and gradually add color until everything is brightly colored.
