This is a young adult (teen fiction) book that my wife is trying to find. It had a little girl and an old woman on the cover. The old woman had a French bull dog called Mr. Kunyatta (I am not sure of the spelling of that name).
The genre of the book was possibly a mystery.
I’m trying to find a children’s book for middle school/YA age about a boy who collects monster memorabilia and is able to somehow bring them to life.
Mummies, Frankenstein type monsters, a blob etc. He thinks it is cool at first but of course it becomes a cause for concern. It deals a lot with him being an outcast for being a “Monster Kid”.
He eventually realizes the monsters can’t live in his bedroom and he has to get rid of them.
I cannot seem to get the right keywords despite remembering specifics about the plot.

I am looking for a children’s picture book I remember about a kid (can’t remember if male or female) who was so messy that all his stuff got up and left. I believe his toys left. His bed was tired of being unmade, so it walked out. I think eventually the whole house left. That’s about all I remember!
My uncle remembers reading a novel in about 1950-1960 (not sure when it was written) about a sailor who traveled all over the world on a large ship, having adventures. He was not the captain and was not married. He would periodically return home with a sack of exotic gifts for his nieces and nephews. My uncle does not remember much else, but the novel influenced him greatly and he always brought me gifts from his travels. I would love to find this book for his 80th birthday. I’m looking for a children’s book (I think it was published in the 1960‘s) about a king who wanted everything in his castle arranged in groups – all the tables in one room, all the chairs in another, etc. Of course the results were disastrous – and funny. I don’t think King Grouper was the name of the book, but it may have been the King’s name. (Google search led me to books about fish!)
I’m looking for a book that I read quite some time ago. The most that I can remember is that the mother was a town outcast, had boy/girl twins, one “died” and was raised by another family. Boy stayed with mom who became town crazy woman outside town. Girl finds out somehow she’s adopted and goes back to figure everything out, and gets involved with a local man. ♥️♥️
My stumper is a humorous book that was like a travel or field guide for aliens from outer space, illustrated with black and white drawings. The aliens had heads like Easter Island statues. The book was a magazine sized paperback, and had a blue cover. It was published in the mid to late 1970s.
