Looking for a YA book published 2008-2015-ish. It is a kind of steampunk-y story about some children whose father has disappeared. He’s a Victorian-ish explorer and there are still vast expanses to be explored. The kids follow some clues and find a hidden world…maybe in a cave? I think the father was part of some sort of explorer’s society, too.

323E: Creating the story of one’s life
Around 1996 I bought my dad a book of questions about one’s life. In the end of answering these questions came a lovely little story about one’s entire life. My dad died without completing it and I couldn’t find the book again. I would like to know the name and author of this book. Thank you for all your help. I’ve looked on Amazon and have not found anything like it.
323B: Maypole Murder Riddle And Other Mysteries (Solved!)
The book is a compilation of multiple crime riddles. It was most likely published in mid 90s to early 2000s. I’m pretty sure it was a dark purple color and I vaguely remember a magnifying glass on the cover. Oh, and it also contained one mystery involving a murder around a maypole.
323A: Man meets gurus in India, is healed of blindness
A man finds healing for near blindness by examining gurus in India who told him to talk to his father. A man disrupted contact with his father, and later suffered from near blindness on a real physical basis. He traveled all over the world and stayed for longer in India, but 2 gurus in a line told him he just should go back and talk with his father. He found unbelievable healing that way, and talked about it on youtube or TED, and wrote a book with which he became famous. He has a website as well and holds presentations. It must have been around 5-10 years ago, I assume. I cannot find it anywhere I search. I think he suffered from a kind of retina disease and small vessels in it.
322V: Nerdy Girl Dates Abusive Popular Boy
This is a YA book I found in the new book section of my middle school library, probably in 1996 or 1997. It’s about a nerdy-ish girl who starts dating a popular boy after they meet at a carnival. He becomes controlling and abusive, and it escalates to an assault in his car. Her boyfriend calls her “Cone.”
322P: Chickens Go Too Far Trying To Outdo Each Other (Solved)
Children’s book about two chickens getting ready for a dance. One buys a hat so the other buys a hat. They continue trying to outdo each other with necklaces and feather boas. At the dance they realize they can’t enjoy it because they have too much stuff on. I think ones name is Fran. I owned this book in the mid 90s.
321T: Generous Girl Receives Beautiful New Shoes
I’m looking for a children’s book that I read as a child in 1995-1997. It’s about Christmas and it was set in an old village. There’s a girl who needs a pair of new shoes. There are beautiful ones in a cobbler’s shop. I think she learns about generosity or does something generous for someone else in the community. At the end of the book, she is gifted with the new shoes from the cobbler’s shop. I vaguely remember the plot being something along the lines of a cobbler making them for someone else but giving them to the girl instead, or maybe her brother/father save up to get these shoes.
321M: Boy Goes To Outer Space
I read this in the 1990s in elementary school – a little boy named Bobby or Boo goes to outer space or imagines he goes to outer space, cute cartoon illustrations of Bobby with a round face but not super colorful – maybe just a couple colors. I remember a scene in his kitchen.
321E: Children’s Firefighter Book
I am looking for a children’s book from approximately late1980’s to early 1990’s. It is a book about firefighters. We cannot remember the title. But we do remember some excerpts. “Are the tanks filled? Are the axes sharp”
This was my sons book and we would like to find it for him.
321C: Illustrated little girl travels around the world taking pictures and sending postcards (children’s book)
It was an illustrated children’s book that I read around 1994 or 1995 that followed a little girl who traveled the world taking photos and sending postcards. She went to lots of interesting destinations. The style of the illustration was kind of similar to Adele and Simon but I’m pretty sure the setting was more contemporary than the 19th century (she had a portable camera). I remember a few pages of illustration that looked like a bunch of different travel images (possibly the postcards or her photographs) stacked over each other in an illustrated pile.
