Strangers wake up on desert island. Each has a trunk with personal belongings. One has cigarettes in his. Have no memory of what happened before or why/how they had a trunk. Had to learn to live together successfully. Vaguely recall it was some sort of experiment, maybe alien. Published in 60s/70s?

205B: Sci-fi paperback about a boy named Jon
Searching for a short, paperback, sci-fi book assigned in my 6th grade English class in 1978 about a boy named Jon who might have fallen in a hole by a tree. He had amnesia and was from another planet. Sorry, that’s all I can remember.
200B: Time travel search to different Ages
I read this book as a child likely in early 90s. I have a very vague recollection of time traveling to different “Ages,” back and forth, possibly searching for something. I have a vivid recollection of a description of moss covered stones in a forest, possibly in England during one time travel stint, though may have been set in another world entirely. Not much to go on unfortunately!
199A: Children’s Scifi book
I have been looking for a children’s science fiction book I read in elementary school in the 1960’s. All I can remember is that there was a planet (might have been earth) covered in water and dolphins who helped or played a role in the story. There might have been more than one book that were related.
191G: Scary UFOs, Nice Paintings (Solved!)
The book I’m after was a spooky children’s book picked up at a R.I.F. book fair in the early 80s. It was from a UK line of books and I believe was titled, simply, “UFOs.” It was perfectly square, tiny (a bit larger than a piece of toast), softcover, short (maybe 24 pages or less), and had realistic and creepy paintings of supposedly true UFO case files. Lots of art, light text. The cover was entirely midnight blue, and either had no art at all, or perhaps just a small clip of art from within, probably a “grey” alien face if anything. I had another book from the line that I believe was called “Dinosaurs,” and followed the same format, but had a vivid green cover. It was definitely an entire line of small books. Oh, and I remember the UFO book was the first place I ever heard of the Men in Black, though they seemed a lot creepier in the book than in the movie. I think the entry on their mysterious origins (it was acknowledged no one knew if they were extraterrestrial or government agents) mentioned one of them putting his fingers in a cup of coffee as if he didn’t understand it. Or something like that!
189C: Story about a woman turned into a mountain lion by a fairy
This is actually a short story, from a collection of fantasy/SF stories probably published in the early-mid 1980s, possibly a little later.
It’s about a woman who rescues a fairy from her cat. The fairy casts a spell that, at the next full moon, turns her into a mountain lion. She escapes from her house, leaving blood on the shredded sheets, into the country, where she learns to hunt for food and encounters a male mountain lion (and a zookeeper) at a zoo. Meanwhile, stories of her disappearance center around an animal attack. After another cycle of the moon, she turns back into a woman.
188F: Kids on spaceship schoolbus accidentally knock it off course and end up on strange planet
A kid/teenager’s book about three kids that are on a spaceship school bus that is taking them home (the last three kids furthest away from school) who mess with the autopilot and end up loosing control of the spaceship. It ends up at another planet altogether where there are people dressed in fur.
It might have been published in the 80s. It had images for each chapter.
184I: An American town time travels from the 1970s to 1800s and the people become mercenaries
I saw this book about two years ago.
It was about a whole town that time travels from the 1970s to 1800s and they use their advanced technology to become mercenaries. I think in the first book in the series they go to Russia and fight in a war there.
176A: Branded Community
Fantasy/ children’s about a Girl and community who are branded on the forehead. Read circa 1995.
175A: girl sees scenes (future?) on TV after repair (Solved)
Kids’ sci-fi, girl sees scenes (future?) on TV after repair by strange men, (possibly aliens?). In dialogue, girl has sarcastic sense of humor, refers to baby brother as “lucky stiff.” 1970s or 1980s, paperback.
