Probably a British children’s book, the main character is a cat called “Powderpuff Percy.” I read it in Hungarian translation in the late 1930’s or early 1940’s.
I see a problem in tracking down the English edition, names aren’t always kept the same in translations; they’re not always kept the same in English editions from different English-speaking countries. Was it the English words “Powderpuff Percy”, or is that what the Hungarian words would translate back as?
