There was a children’s book about a little girl with a bunny stuffed animal, the girl gets a new stuffed animal, a bear I think. The bunny feels replaced and tries to run away and ends up falling in the bathtub. I think it gets powder or something on it. It’s found and cleaned up and the girl has room to love for both stuffed animals in the end.
The details aren’t precisely the same, but could it have been one of the “Alpaca” books by Rosemary Billam? Slightly confusingly, they were retitled “Fuzzy Rabbit” in the US. It does have the rabbit toy, the feeling replaced, and the running away and needing to be cleaned up.

Alpaca/Fuzzy Rabbit is not the same book sadly (just watched a reading of Fuzzy Rabbit on YouTube). There is definitely a bathtub and baby powder (and I think the little girl is blonde).
It’s Muffin, Brown Bear and Me, by Elinor Warren. Illustrated by Esther Ziegler. Copyright 1977, by Red Farm Studio. I still have my childhood copy, and the bathtub/baby powder incident triggered the memory. Muffin is the bunny.
Omg this was it! You have no idea how long I’ve been searching for this book!! Thank you!!!
