Illustrated children’s story in which a star grows sick or possibly sad. A child/person notices it through their window. The star grows ashen/grey/possibly greenish as it gets sicker/sadder. The top point of the star is flopped forward. I believe the star is taken in by child/person & nursed to health. There is definitely an image in my mind of a star in bed with a thermometer sticking out of its mouth. The story takes place in wintertime.
Did you ever figure out what this book is? I want to buy it for Christmas and can’t think of it either! I feel like it was “Paddington Catches a Star” or something similar?
This might be Peterkin Meets a Star by Emilie Boon: A child plucks a star from the sky and takes it home for his own; but the star is not happy in its new environment.
There’s a trailer on the author’s site: http://www.emilieboon.com/shop/
