I’m looking for a children’s picture book about capturing dragons. I believe it came out in the 1980s. Cover is a close-up of a dragons head, with large, light-colored scales. Each page had a different dragon illustration. One was a green dragon, smoking, with a “mom” heart tattoo. Please help.
Are you thinking of “The Fourteenth Dragon” by James Seidelman? The book has 13 illustrations of dragons, each by a different contributor, ranging from ominous to silly to ornate to rather handsome. The “14th dragon” is left up to the reader to create. It came out in 1968 and is rather hard to find, but worth the search. Hope this helps.
Oh my god, that’s it! You are the best! I searched for hours online and found nothing. It looks like there are different covers, but the one I remember is one of them. I had no idea it came out in the 60s. Thank you, so much. Now, I have to find one to buy!
