Thin (approx 8-15 page) children’s book published between 1980 and 1995. My best guess would place it early 1990’s. I think it was roughly the size of a golden book. It is about one little girl who is approx. 5 years old and while the Mother is mentioned, the story is about her day with her Dad. The two parts I remember most are when she helps him wash the car, and they go to the beach and she collects shells. In one of the beach scene illustrations, the girl has an orange one piece swimsuit. Also, the girl has short dark blonde hair. The illustrations looked like watercolor with a slightly faded hue. I think at the end the girl goes to sleep (isn’t that how all of those short little books end ? 😉
I’m sure you always hear this, but I can’t tell you what it would mean to find this book. I have many cherished memories of reading it with my parents and would absolutely love to own it.
