Marc turns him on to art, his friends at school, bubblegum, and flying in a bowl attached to a balloon. Herman eventually flies across the USA in a remote control airplane and becomes famous. The ending of the book has Herman saying he wants to “seee the holl wiiideee wuurld!” The author of “Herman the Great” is Zora Louise Olsen.
