Children’s book about a family of rabbits shopping adventure (remembering a grocery store and hardware store). We are looking for this for our daughter in law who lost her father to cancer 3 years ago and she remembers him reading it to her. It may have rabbits pushing a shopping cart on the front cover.

I’ll bet the house that this is “The Store Book,” by Ronne Peltzman. I distinctly remember the hardware store, the stationary shop, and how the went to get ice cream at the end!
