I’m looking for a book i had when i was a child in the 1960’s. I called this book “Little Pink Rosie” but don’t think that was its actual title. Its about a pink goat that gets kidnapped by foxes. I remember monkeys although i can’t be certain She’s kept in some sort of cage.
There’s a book called ‘The Little Pink Goat’ by Jolanda Colombini Monti (1957) that might be what you are looking for. It was published by Dean and Son Ltd, of London and is described on abebooks as “56 little stories with colour illustrations.”
There is a book called “The Little Pink Goat: by Jolanda Colombini Monti from 1957, but I can find no description of it on the internet.
Thanks so much for info, i think i may have stumbled across one obviously no details to it, shall have to wait and see when it arrives. Thanks again for all your help! 🙂
Please let us know if this is indeed the book when you get it in.
The Birthday Goat features goats that aren’t pink, but the book itself has a pink cover, and the baby goat is kidnapped by – I think pigs, and they’re threatening to sell her to a fox – and put in a cage along with other kidnapped baby animals.
It did come out in the 60s and is in – not exactly a cartoon strip, but the illustrations have speech bubbles rather than ordinary text.
