Mr and Mrs Pig’s evening out by Mary Rayner First published 1976 and still in print in the UK. When Mr and Mrs Pig go out for the evening and the agency sends Mrs Wolf to babysit, the piglets have to foil her attempt to eat one of them for supper
Definitely Mr and Mrs Pig’s Evening Out by Mary Rayner. I used to read this one aloud to classes in the school library. She also wrote Garth Pig and the Ice Cream Lady about the same pig family and the same Mrs. Wolf. The children LOVED having these stories read aloud to them.
