357J: Marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwiches and mom’s note (Solved!)

Early 90s children’s book. Book about children making marshmallow fluff and peanut butter sandwiches. They make a mess and find their mom’s note that says where she has gone to. The note has fluff all over it and they are only able to see a few letters. They go about trying to decode the note, imagining all the places she could be. Finally, it ends that it says she went to the pet store and comes back with a dog!

I don’t know your book, but if they actually used the term “Fluff” in the book, that’s trademarked, and the author would have had to have permission to use it. You might try contacting the company to see if they have the information in their records.

I’m the person that sent this in and almost positive this is the book but I’m so confused because I vividly remember it not being jelly and have even seen others seek out this book with marshmallow fluff not jelly as well! I found one on eBay and ordered to be sure! Thank you so much!!

If you look closely at the cover art, you can see the note itself, which should confirm it as the right book. No idea about the marshmallow fluff, unless somehow there were two versions of the story.

I just received the book! It is it!! They DO use marshmallow fluff, for whatever reason it stuck out as the main ingredient! Thank you so much!
