362J: Goblin Wedding Flip Book

I’m looking for a children’s book that I remember being a type of flipbook, where the pages are divided into multiple horizontal strips where you flip them and are still creating images. The premise for this one was a goblin (maybe a troll) wedding, and a bunch of guests, including a sandman, were coming with gifts. In the end, the two being married form a heart between them, where the top of the heart was their long noses and the bottom was their feet meeting. If anyone can help me with this, that would be amazing.

This is a children’s series
Boy lives in lighthouse with an AI companion who designs all-terrain ships/vehicles. Boy uses advanced technology mods to fight elemental monsters. There was a secret base underneath, and the main character fights elemental monsters that occur beyond the borders of human habitation. the areas are separated into the prime elements such as water, earth, air and fire along with mixed elements such as mud and lava.
My son was reading this at school in 2010/2011 and waiting for new publications at this time. He has confirmed that it is not ’The Edge’ series or ‘Monsters of the Earth’.

359F: Early 90’s Humorous Horror Children’s Book

I imagine this will be one of the more difficult ones for you simply due to my lack of information. This was a childhood book of mine that had to have been published in the late 80’s-early 90’s.  It was a series of 10-12 short stories accompanied by cartoon-ish illustrations focused around a punk kid getting into all sorts of spooky and weird situations.   Unfortunately, at the time I couldn’t read, so all I have are memories of the illustrations and some themes of one or two of the stories. The illustration of the kid was the early 90’s typical baggy jeans, backwards ball cap, long (I think) blonde hair. The cover of the book was of this kid spray painting some graffiti on a brick wall. I think whatever he was spray painting was the title of the book.
A few of the memories I have of the stories include one where the kid gets sucked down a drain and another where the kid has no bones. I’m pretty sure there were a few stories where he encounters monsters as well.
Thanks for your help! My brother and I have spent years trying to find this book!

I don't know the name of it. It was a book of black and white sketch like drawings of different pretend monsters, but not cryptids. They may have been monsters that looked like household objects, one of them was possibly a coat hanger type thing. Each page had a description of a monster and then a black and white picture/sketch of them. It was definitely published before 2015 and was meant for either children or preteens.

357C: 70s Purple Dragon (Solved!)

I was in elementary school in the 70s and I remember reading what I think was an early chapter book series with a boy and his purple dragon/dinosaur/monster. The illustrations in my memory were very minimalist and had a Quentin Blake feel to them but I’ve researched Quentin Blake’s work and don’t see it listed. The dragon/dinosaur/monster was very tall, definitely purple, and walked on two legs. I have a vivid memory of the boy riding on its shoulders. I don’t remember anything about the plot except they seemed somewhat surreal (maybe?) so I don’t know if the creature was real or imaginary. It’s possible the series was school literature only (not mass market published).

I’m trying to find a children’s book for middle school/YA age about a boy who collects monster memorabilia and is able to somehow bring them to life.

Mummies, Frankenstein type monsters, a blob etc. He thinks it is cool at first but of course it becomes a cause for concern. It deals a lot with him being an outcast for being a “Monster Kid”.

He eventually realizes the monsters can’t live in his bedroom and he has to get rid of them.
I cannot seem to get the right keywords despite remembering specifics about the plot.

354G: Children’s Book Featuring Cute Characters Including Green Monster

I do not remember title but remember characters and some details from this book. It was a children’s book I loved reading when I was little and I was born in 1983.

I vividly remember what the characters looked like in illustrations - adorable soft illustrations. The characters had big eyes (not Precious Moments but similar in cuteness factor).

The book I want had a little girl with dark hair (black or brown) and had red poppies, plus a cute green monster that I think liked to eat cookies but I feel had a Loch Ness monster type feel and maybe lived in a lake.

I’ve done searches trying to find the cover of the book but haven’t seen what I’m looking for. Hope you guys can help me.

353F: Children Encounter Scary Creature in the Woods

I am trying to find a book that I used to read when I was younger at the school library. It was a scary picture book. From what I can remember, the story goes like this: there are 2 siblings (boy and girl I believe) that live in a village/community in the forest. I want to say that it is a native American community but I’m not entirely sure. They wander out too far from safety and stumble upon a creature that, based on the drawings, gave me nightmares as a kid. It’s extremely tall, covered completely with brown hair, sharp white claws on the feet and hands (but not too long), sharp white teeth and red eyes. The children try to escape but the creature chases after them. I do remember vividly a page where the kids are climbing a cliff, while the creature climbs below them. Somehow the rest of the village comes to the rescue and saves the children. I tried researching as best as I can but I can’t find anything remotely close. I know it’s not a wendigo story, the closest thing I can find based on appearance that I remember is the Tennessee Wildman. And I want to say that the author had other books with the same style of drawing.

350W: A Monster/Bird/Caterpillar Grows

I’m looking for a children’s picture book. Probably published between 1994 and 2004, a square white book, where … There’s a monster/bird/caterpillar? kind of thing that seems to grow … I remember the illustration being swirly, watercolor like with say leaves and feathers that get caught up in it as it grows???
Not Monster Mama but those colors and blurriness are on a similar track … Not a very hungry caterpillar, those colors are right but the illustrations aren’t cut paper…
What brings this book to mind is this fabric:
Do you think we have any chance of figuring it out?

350M: Boy Trains With Magic Sword

I’m looking for a book I read sometime between 2005-2011. The cover was mostly blue and had a sword hilt on it I think. In the book a kid from our world somehow goes to another world. In this other world, the people fight with swords that the blade only actually exists if you believe? Little hazy on that part. I remember a scene where the main character loses a foot race to a younger kid from this other world. The people train using the swords by swinging them at giant boulders. The sword blade can heal any wound when pressed against it unless it’s caused by that type of sword. Might have had Christian themes. When in our world the main character was attacked by some sort of invisible monster that can’t be seen. Somebody saved him using one of the magic swords.
