I am looking for a children’s book I remember reading in the 1960s, about a handicapped girl (name *might* have been Melanie or Melody) and her dog (I remember it being a West Highland terrier).
ON HIATUS – Stump the Bookseller
We are unfortunately ON HIATUS through the end of 2026. Thanks for your patience; we'll be back ASAP.
I think you want Mine for Keeps, by Jean Little. The girl is Sarah, also called Sal.
Probably Mine For Keeps, by Jean Little. The girl’s name is Sally and her dog is Susie. Sally has cerebral palsy.
Try Mine for Keeps by Jean Little.
