Hi! I'm trying to find a school book from the late '60's or very early 70's. Probably a second grade reader but I'm not certain. It has multiple stories and the one I remember is about a married couple of pigs trying to sell their house. Each animal that comes to look at it suggests something they would like changed about the house. The pigs change each thing and by the end of the story they don't want to sell their house anymore. Does anyone remember this book? It was read with the classic Dick and Jane books for sure.

345N: Woman find lost French doll in dried-up pond (short story)
I think this was in an anthology of an author’s short stories. I thought it might be Elizabeth Goudge, but I haven’t had any luck finding it. Woman had long lost a cherished doll, and she turns up when the local pond dries up. Set in England before the 70’s. Thanks!
345M: Illustrated Story About Made-up Machines
This story was in a Language Arts textbook in the mid 90s. Each page spread described a different imaginary, Rube Goldberg-esque, fantastical machine. In my memory of the illustrations, they were very surreal, beautiful and detailed, in the style of William Joyce or David Wiesner.
345K: In Search Of a Children’s book called “The Bus Riding Book”
I’m looking for a children’s primer, a first reader series, and one of the books is called “The Bus Riding Book.” In the book, all of the animals get on the bus, one by one, and then a bee flies in and everyone runs out of the bus. I learned to read using it in 1976 in catholic school in Queens, NY. I believe the publisher was McGraw Hill, colorful drawings inside the book with animals getting on the bus, and the cover may have been soft.
345J: Young Girl Decries Dangers of Reading When Chased by a Bull
Read this book when I was around 8, which puts it at 1960. I am sure it was not new at that time.
Written by someone like Thurber or Ogden Nash, it was a collection of children’s short stories. The only one that I can remember clearly was about a little girl who couldn’t read. At the end, when she is being chased by a bull, she comes to the conclusion that reading (words?) are dangerous. The sign she couldn’t read said something like, ‘beware of bull.’
Hoping you can help me.
344K: Love Stories Around the World
Daughter of the Sun (I thought) was the title.
343F: Fairy Tale Collection With Golden Cover
Looking for a children's fairy tale hardcover collection with golden/yellow cover. I think it had a "realistic" illustration on the front or back, of a sleeping kitten on an open book. Contains stories such as Tinderbox, Why The Sea is Salt, Ugly Duckling, Rikki-Tikki-Tavi.
342V: Hippies in a Sunny Book
The book we are looking for may have been affiliated with Paulist Press. My brothers and I remember reading it back in maybe the mid to late seventies. It was a hippie/peace kind of book. Probably a book of stories. The pictures below show a distinctive sun image that we have tried to find through Google reverse image searches. The images are likely Photoshopped for copyright reasons. These photos are from Jim Erickson’s photography site. We have reached out to him as part of our quest, but have not heard back.
341Z: UFO Light Causes Boy to Grow Third Arm
341T: Jokey the Dog
I'm looking for an elementary textbook from 80s or 90s that had a story about Jokey the Dog, another about a cat that goes to a spa, and small things falling from high places.
