My best guess is that I read the books between 1993 and 1996. I think I originally checked it out from the church library.

342F: Little girl left toy under the willow tree overnight (Solved!)
Caitlin Kelly, caitlin.el.kelly@gmail.com[/private role]
I have been trying to figure out the name of a book I used to rent from a library in RI with my grandmother when I was young. It was about a little girl (I think her name was Charlotte). She had a toy (I think a bunny, but could’ve been some other stuffed toy) and she left it under a willow tree. I think she left it and there was a storm.
342E: Siblings Time Travel through Aunt’s Past (Solved!)
A girl and her younger brother go to live with their aunt (I think after their parents have an accident?). They aren’t fond of her. The book is in the girl’s perspective. The siblings go through some of their aunt’s things in her house (attic?). Somehow they are transported back in time to her childhood. They witness several events from her past. (I feel like I remember reading that when they are transported back in time, the sister is in the aunt’s body and the brother is in their father’s body. I may be wrong about that though.) Anyways I believe their grandfather was abusive towards the aunt and father in the past, so the aunt was protective of their father. I remember one of the last moments they traveled to was a peace rally, or an anti-war rally. (Think it may have been a protest against the Vietnam war- I remember mentions of peace signs.) I think by the end of the book they had grown to respect and appreciate their aunt more because of the experience.
342D: Talking Clock Sends Boy to the Past
My brother read a short children's book when he was a kid in the 1970s. The book was about a kid (boy) and a talking clock, the parents of the child are lost (died), the clock takes the boy back to happier moments in the past. At the end the boy is reunited with his parents. My brother said the book only had a few pages similar to Golden Books. If you know someone who could point us towards finding the book it would be appreciated.
342C: A house with a magic door
342B: Racist picture book from mid-century about trip to Africa
Some children go on a travel adventure – at one point they are being chased by a lion while driving in a sort of Land Rover and someone throws a shoe at the lion and hits him on the nose – illustration shows lion knocked on his butt with a swollen nose.
342A: Native Americans Hold NYC Hostage With Oil Tanker Bomb
341Z: UFO Light Causes Boy to Grow Third Arm
341Y: Spooky Bushes Mistaken for Monster
Seeking a 70s children's paperback book with kids involved in a mystery, with a clue or a solution that somehow involves bushes/trees that have appearance of a monster in the dark. It is not about monsters, however. Could be scholastic. . .
